Personally I'd be looking for speed, accuracy, a daily quarantine digest, flexible whitelist & blacklist options, ability to integrate premium RBL's such as Spamhaus & Invaluement, and bonus points if it can flag "vendor spam" that comes from random companies I've never heard of and have no interest in purchasing services from.
