"ALternative email address screen" blocking my login

For the past 3 days I've been totally unable to access my mail.com account - whenever I try, I get a screen asking me to confirm or change the alternative email address which I provided several years ago. However, the screen doesn't allow me to do either option, and just recycles endlessly - so, no emails for three days.... Emails to mail.com customer support elicit an immediate automatic reply, and then - silence. Shocking - appalling service. Does anyone out there, please, possibly have any helpful ideas...?
