    I started to switch to pop3 and that looked like it was going to take a long time to fetch all the messages again so I stopped the whole process. Of the two suggestions you've provided above, which would be the one that you would do first? Thanks again for your time and help.

    Thanks for the replay, but I already had the app set to check for new mail every 10 minutes. The problem is that it does NOT check for new email every 10 minutes. Neither does the "check/send" button. I have both the "check for mail every X minutes" AND the "include this account..." boxes...
