I keep getting a msg. fm Hotmail to sign in again to protect my account. I could understand if I were away from my computer for an hour or more, but I'm getting this so frequently. At times I am just going from an email to a link in it and back and I get this. I have already set up gmail accts. and like others I agree, they are much easier to deal with. I clear my cache everytime I close out of the internet and sometimes in between, depending on what I'm doing. Between this msg. and asking me to verify my account, it's becoming a real pain!!!!!

When you are clearing your cache are you also deleting your cookies?

Deleting your cookies is likely what is causing your Hotmail login to timeout.

I do delete my cookies, my history, everything and I try to do this in whatever browser I may be using. I also have them set up to do all this when I close out, but periodically I do it manually, especially if I have entered private information.

Actually, that may have been the problem. I forgot that both laptops I have been using have recently been wiped out. I checked and I didn't have them set to delete cookies, but they all have been now:D It was interesting though, everytime I went to a different browser and deleted the cookies, it made me sign in again, but today I haven't had to at all. Thanks a lot:thanks::siterock:

Hotmail is still making me sign in again when I have been online a short time. I quit using it for emailing friends and my new business related acct.; I switched to Gmail and it's been much smoother with no requests to verify my acct. or sign in again to protect my acct. If so many businesses that I have bought from didn't have my Hotmail address, I would quit them completely. I have become krojic about deleting history, cookies and clearing the cache.
