Why should I use corporate e-mail ?

Are there any advantages when using corporate email account instead of generic personal mail account (gmail/yahoo/outlook...) ?

I think it's mostly a marketing/image issue. It looks more professional for a company to have a company domain name emails. Why does it? Well, that'd be an interesting sociological question.
