My Incoming Emails Are Also Going to the Inbox of Another Person's Yahoo Account

Hello,

The person who is also receiving all of the messages that come to my roadrunner.com inbox tells me that the sent time on each of these messages in her Yahoo inbox is about 3 minutes after the sent time shown on messages in my roadrunner inbox.

I'm wondering if you might be able to help me resolve this issue.

Is it possible that you have a forwarding address (or a mail filter) in your roadrunner account which is sending copies of your messages to the other person?

Hello,

I have been using my roadrunner account for only the past week and do not know how to determine if a have either a mail filter or a forwarding address set up in the roadrunner account.

If you can give me instructions for locating this information I would very much appreciate any help you can provide!

I'm afraid I don't know anything about RoadRunner myself but I'm sure they have a webmail interface. Log into it & look for a settings button and then look for forwarding and filters.

Hi Rick,

My friend who works for Time Warner just put me in touch with a "Level 3" help desk. The person at the help desk gave me instructions on locating the forwarding options.

As you stated, under Settings there is a Forwarding Option. The email address of the person who had been receiving my emails was shown under that option. I'm not sure how it got there, but I have now removed it!

Did your road runner email address belong to someone else before you and it was part of their old settings?

If true, that's a little concerning.

Hello,

No, I don't believe that my email address had ever been used by any other person.

This problem occurred when I inadvertently typed in the other person's email address in the mail forwarding option section. I do email this person on a regular basis. However, I did not intend to forward all of my inbox mailings to her!

The issue has now been resolved; and, as a result, I have a much greater understanding of roadrunner settings.
