I want to unsubscribe from some advertisers which make it almost impossible to unsubscribe

I do not recommend trying to unsubscribe from email send by spammers or companies that make it too hard to unsubscribe.

Email from spammers should be marked as junk.

The unsubscribe link should only be used when email is from a legit company that you no longer want the email from.

If you try to unsubscribe from a sender with shady email list practices, all you're doing is confirming that you address is good so they can sell it to other advertisers.

When in doubt, mark an email as spam to prevent future unwanted emails from making it to your inbox.

This is pretty much what I do. If it's a company I've done business with before I'll click through the unsubscribe link. If my email address isn't already filled in (I have several addresses that land in the same Gmail inbox - I'm not going to try and figure out which address it was sent to) or it tries to force me to fill out a questionnaire, I'll either add the sending address to my auto delete rule or mark them as spam from there on in depending on how obnoxious the sender is.
