I have e mail alerts/notifications set in different e mail provider settings. In the message box i click on "view thread" i'm redirected to the web site in question in a different tab. This is how it works with all of the e mail providers i use & still does with the exception of proton mail now.

For some reason with proton mail i click on "view thread" in the message box i'm redirected to the web site but it is not a new tab.

What you're describing sounds like a difference in HTML targets. It doesn't make sense to me if you have a single feed why one provider would be different though. If you right click on the proton mail link and select open in new tab does that work?

I don't receive e mail notifications/alerts anymore from web sites.

Also i received 5 new e mails in the inbox today.October 11,2015 but the dates are Feb 27 2015,Mar 2,3,4,6 of 2015.The thing is these were deleted way back then, how is this possible.

There isn't any type of user generated "account restore" possible that I'm aware of for ProtonMail. Can you check the headers and see if you can tell if these were redelivered delivered vs. somehow returned as part of a server restore process , which may or may not be technically possible depending on how their backend works.

From what you sent me I believe there are no headers because those emails were sent and received within ProntonMail.

Email from other email services would have full email headers.

Ok,the screenshot i provided shows it is from proton.

Proton has been acting weird lately as in my 1st post here which seemed to have corrected itself.

It loads slow,i don't receive e mail alerts & i now get old deleted e mails from proton in the inbox, any ideas?

My best guess is some sort of account or system restore, but I'm not sure if that's even possible within their architecture.

Wild idea is that they restored/activated all of their old support emails, but then all users would be seeing this who have contacted them, and if true how would emails behind the mailbox password be recoverable? Maybe if every email is stored individually, tagged to your account, and appears if your mailbox password is a match for the decrypt.

You'll have to ask @ProtonMail to comment to get a more certain answer.
