Where are my emails

Hi
I have upgraded my Windows 7Pro PC, and re-installed Windows Live Mail, using my regular Tiscali email address of ***.**@tiscali.co.uk
*
The email contacts I have mailed after reinstalling Win Live mail have all replied and have been received by my in box, but mail from friends and family which were sent sent to me before reinstalling Win Live Mail has not arrived, neither has my regular email flyers from web sites I am registered with.
My pal sent an email today and it did not arrive, but if I send him a mail after that his return mails will arrive.

I am sure my settings are ok, but here they are for you to check,
In my Win Live Mail accounts properties box GENERAL tab, in the E-mail address, I have my regular email address****.**@tiscali.co.uk*and in the Reply address, I also have my regular email address****.**@tiscali.co.uk*inserted.
On the SERVERS tab Incoming is a POP3 Server, Incoming pop.tiscali.co.uk and Outgoing smtp.tiscali.co.uk
The e-mail user-name is my email address of****.**@tiscali.co.uk*and the password inserted is correct.
Security tab is 3DES and Outgoing port is 25
the incoming is port 110.
Three or four years ago after installing Win7 I had this same prob, and someone helped and thousands of emails flooded into my in box, some old and some that I had not seen, but I cannot remember what I did to get them.
I hope you can help?

Hi Tyler,

I apologize for not replying faster when this was posted.

Do you mind sharing what the problem and solution were in case it helps other members?

:thanks:

Hi Pop, I have solved the problem by switching to Sky as my ISP, the mails were somehow sticking on the Talk-Talk servers I had had the prob some years ago and had forgotten how it was cured, I had just had enough of TalkTalk they are cheap but in my view a poor provider.
I am receiving my mails now ok from the sky server into my windows live mail account but do have another question concerning a second account, but as I saw only one person answering questions I decided to look around. Regards Robert

Hi Robert,

What is the problem with the second account?
Hi again, thanks for your interest.
I setup an email account in WLM but to make it work I had to setup a sort of mirror account in Sky mail which I did and the account works ok.
Now I want a second account in windows live mail for spurious emails and continuous mail shots, a sort of second string account, but every time I try to setup another account at sky under the "setup another user" it rejects my email address saying "cannot accept a sky address" (I think it needs another address to send PW's etc to) so I made a Google mail account and used that email address and that was rejected also, I don't understand what is needed, regards Robert.

PS It looks like I might be having the same problems again, as I have just looked into the Sky and Google email accounts and both have emails in the inbox received over 20 hrs ago, which have yet to appear in my windows Live Mail inbox, unfortunately as I am receiving some mails on the WLM inbox I thought that WLM was working ok
