Hello,

Do you have a problem with Yahoo Mail not remembering your password?

You may have a corrupted cookie file that is causing the problem.

Here are the steps to delete your cookie file in Mozilla Firefox:
  • Open My Computer
  • Click on your C drive

  • Follow the path to find and delete your Firefox cookie file
  • For me the path was:
C:\Documents and Settings\popowich\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\z1g3ej0b.default\cookies.sqlite
It is also worth nothing that removing the Yahoo cookies with the cookie manager does -not- fix this problem.

Thank you so much, it worked. The path wasn't exactly the same but I figured it out.

I don't know what changed, because it use to work. Now I guess I will have to look for the cookie for my bank too? because it doesn't work anymore either.

Thanks again
becky

Hi Becky,

I'm happy to hear that this fix helped to solve your problem.

You may also want to update your anti virus and spyware detection software.
  1. Check your Anti-Virus software and make sure it is up to date. If you do not have an anti-virus program I recommend installing Avast personal edition.
  2. Update and run your anti-spyware program. If you do not have a program that checks your computer for spyware I recommend installing, updating, and running a full scan of your computer with Malwarebytes. You will need to scroll down that page a little bit to find the download link.

I had a similar issue with other sites. Renaming the cookies.sqlite file to cookies.sqlite.backup worked like a charm.

Thanks man, its been bugging me that saved passwords weren't working the last few weeks. But not bugging me enough to do any research, Awesome work!
