I am getting the following message pop up 3-5 days per day.

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection
. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period.

Any ideas or suggestion on how to stop it?

I am using window 7 and windows love mail 2011.

    Thanks,
    Ken

    Hi Ken,

The description provided to you along with the error message is along the lines of first level troubleshooting.

What email account are you downloading with Windows Live Mail? An ISP account? A free web account?

Is it pop or imap? Is the problem with getting new mail, sending mail, or both?

Do you have a lot of email stored on the server?

What virus software is on your computer? Is it configured to scan your email traffic?

Also, getting your software up to date with filehippo.com can fix a lot of general problems too.

What email account are you downloading with Windows Live Mail? Both - Gmail

Is it pop or imap? Is the problem with getting new mail, sending mail, or both? Gmail is imap, it seems like it is happening when I am preparing to send a e-mail.

Do you have a lot of email stored on the server? yes

What virus software is on your computer? Kaspersky Is it configured to scan your email traffic? Yes

Also, getting your software up to date with filehippo.com can fix a lot of general problems too.
