Does anyone know what's going on? I have the Yahoo Mail app on my iPhone and it keeps asking for my password. If I hit cancel I can see my new email. I do not have a problem opening and reading my new email. How can I stop it from asking for my password over and over again?

Do you have the latest version of the app installed on your phone?

Maybe something else such as syncing your contacts is failing.

First, trying turning your phone off and then turning it back on.

If that doesn't work there is a reset app feature in the settings that might be worth a try.

If the solutions above don't fix the problem try this:

    Yahoo Account Info.JPG
    • When prompted type in your Yahoo password
    • In the Sign-In and Security section click Manage apps and website connections:
Yahoo manage apps and website connections.JPG
    • Click the "Remove" link listed next to any mobile devices such as your iPhone
    • Go back to your phone and log into the Yahoo Mail app

I turned my phone off and back on and it stopped asking. I only shut off my phone like once every few months. Maybe I should try it more often.

What worked for me just now was going to settings; mail, contacts, calendars; accounts and then tap on the account that keeps asking for the password.I turned evrything off and then back on. It'll say delete from iphone on some of them so you just click ok to allow it. It will automatically turn back on when you slide it to on again.

Here are the directions to restore your contacts if needed - How to restore missing or deleted contacts in Yahoo Mail

Everyone please be cautious when troubleshooting to help make sure important data isn't deleted when trying to reset or fix settings problems.
