Hi guys and email fans, i have a webmail tip for you,

Vivaldi Mail is part of the community site vivaldi.net, which represents the Vivaldi Browser from developers of Vivaldi Technologies.
The man behind this company is Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner.
He was the co-founder and later the CEO of Opera Software , the company which builded the former Browser pioneer Opera.

Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner left Opera in 2011 because of strategic differences.

Now he and former Opera developers, as well as new people are building a new Browser: Vivaldi. The new browser is in beta stadium.

Maybe you like their webmail service:

You can't register directly on https://webmail.vivaldi.net yet.
You have to do it here: https://vivaldi.net/
The e-mail address will be username@vivaldi.net.

    Vivaldi Mail offers:

    Nice and clear design
    Calendar with CalDAV support
    Filter rules
    5GB storage
    Many languages
    Mobile Sync
Mobile interfaces for Anroid & iOS

Vivaldi team said they will work on alias support, hope it will come soon.

Hi compleo, just give them fantasy names for webmail :innocent:

About the Browser Vivaldi: Of course you can change the search engine. There is a search field on the top right corner of the browser, just press the magnifier icon on the left side and change the search engine.

When you want to change or disable the search enigne in adress bar, go to settings about the Vivaldi icon in the left corner of the browser or via the settings gear on the side panel.

    -------------------

About Vivaldi Mail: When someone sign-up there, you can change the privacy settings for your profile on https://vivaldi.net/ Click on your username > edit icon > your username > privacy etc.

Vivaldi has only recently come out in an official Beta version and is still not ready for prime time. E.g. the Xmarks extension installs but cannot be used yet until they modify (or create?) something in Vivaldi's sync code to allow it to work! So my guess is there are a host of features (including managing preferred search engines) that will be changed by the time it is ready for official release.

So you're now talking about the Browser. The webmail Vivaldi Mail with new interface is well usable and looks good
But the Browser, yes it's in BETA, i'm so excited to use the final version :)

Something which is related to email and will be very interesting is the coming integrated email client M3 in Vivaldi browser.
