My question concerns setting up POP3 email settings in Outlook Express on Windows XP. I have an email account with Verizon.net but am not at home and therefore am using a different computer. I can get emails in but the outgoing email server name escapes my memory. I would check this out on the web but since I'm physically blind, it takes way too long to do a search. Does anyone out there know what the SMTP(outgoing) email server name is? Also, what port number should I use? Mine is currently set to 25.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

Verizon outgoing mail servers use port 587.

Also, the server name mail.swbell.net using port 25 or 587 might work from your current internet connection too.
