Trade show catalogs

If I visit a trade show/conference and obtain a show catalog that is full of companies and their email details, is mailing them 'spamming' or otherwise not allowed?

Hi Gareth,

Emailing those contacts would be spamming.

Only send email to people who want the emails and opted in for a specific type of email content from you.

If you send email to addresses not expecting the email you are far more likely to get marked as spam, deleted without being read, etc.
