spammers are sending email from my email address

Things have been a bit quiet on the e-mail front, apart from that ongoing
nuisance of spammers attaching their names to my e-mail address. I can't
blacklist them because, in doing so, I end up blacklisting myself. I know
there has to be an answer out there somewhere but it remains illusive.
