What argument would you make for convincing users that they should use an encrypted email service such as SCRYPTmail to supplement or replace their use of some of the more commonly known free email services such as Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook.com?

The easy answer is: Google, Microsoft and Yahoo especially read your mails before you do. They are not encrypted, so your emails can be snooped on by pretty much anyone.
