I'd install a mail program on your computer such as Windows Live Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird and use it to copy the email to your computer.

Even better, you should have a grace period with your old ISP that will allow you to have both the old and new accounts active allowing you to copy the email over the IMAP connections.

To guarantee the access you might need to wait and not cancel the old ISP until the email has been moved. Check with the old ISP to confirm how long your email will work after billing is stopped.
