I've a issue about qmail quota and quota warning.

    I'm using vpopmail 5.4.32.
    I've a 20MB email account.
I send 2 x 11mb email message to the account.
The 1st email message was received okay.
And the 2nd email message was rejected because user over quota,
but it's strange that qmail send a quota warning message to the email account, said it's over 90% full, but the 2nd email message was dropped by qmail and sent a failure notice to sender automatically.
It shouldn't send a quota warning message to the email account.

I don't know is it any settings or quota script problem. I need a help on this.

    Thank you.

I think you can go to Sent folder and delete the big emails there. All folders count towards quota.

    Hi Henry

The maildir quota system is not perfect.

    Small messages still get delivered.

The second email would have been too big to be delivered.

I have the quota warnings turned off on my vpopmail based systems, they cause too much confusion for the users.

    Thank you for the reply.

Is there a any other way for the quota system instead of using maildir quota system?

    :thanks:

The sent folder is clean and the account is using 0KB.
