I am a comcast customer using WindowXP and Outlook Express on a DELL PC. Yesterday, after bringing up Outlook Express I was unable to download new emails and received the following error message:
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800
In addition, I tried to read and delete existing emails but Outlook would not permit me to do so, and received the error message that "cannot send a read validation" or something similar.
Appreciate any assistance to resolve this issue.
