Outlook Express problem

New Email
When I send myself a test message, it goes to my depleted folder instead of the inbox. Other outgoing emails get sent properly to then recipients.

It sounds like a junk email, spam filter, or something similar is automatically filing it into the deleted folder.

Test messages can appear to be spammy to many spam filters.

Try sending a test message that has more to the subject and body than the word test.

Subject: Is the project done?

Body: Almost, the project will be done on Tuesday!

Hi Ike,

Did the email send and come back before going to deleted messages or did it go directly there without sending?

Raymond:

It went directly to the delete folder after sending without stopping at the inbox.

Is it possible that it sent and your have your sent items folder set incorrectly?

Try sending a test email to example@emailquestions.com

I'm interested to see if we get a copy in addition to it showing up in your deleted messages folder.

Hello,

I received the test message with the contents:

This is a test. Email to myself always shows up correctly in the sent folder (as well as the delete folder).

Try checking your message rules to see if you have a mail rule that is filtering the sent email into your deleted folder :
