My new mail received is now a single file row of small icons rather than a title and/or sender. I have to open every one to see if it is valuable or not.

Which email client are you using to read your email?

To reset the display of your AOL inbox:

Near the top right of your inbox:
    • In the All menu, select All
    • In the Customize menu, select Auto
If this does not fix the problem please take a screen shot of your inbox and attach it in a reply.

To fix the problem please try this solution (Thank you @AOLMailTeam) :

Please select "Mail Options" in the top right corner of your AOL Desktop Software and then hit "Read" and "Inbox".

There is no 'inbox' listing on that menu. At least, not on my menu

I am using AOL 9.7. Is my version of email different than others? Well, I did not have this problem for years. It just popped up last week.

    Hi Al,

I'm not sure. I tried it, and asked AOL support, but they were not able to help either.

Well, I do appreciate your efforts. Maybe I need to reinstall AOL?

I'm curious if that will reset your settings and help. It can't hurt.

    Al reported a fix:

This morning I found that I had installed an upgrade of 9.8 to 9.8.1 on Nov 10. That may be about the time my problem appeared. I uninstalled all versions of AOL (3) except 9.8 and all is well again.
    Thanks for help
    Al D
