Hi windy,

Are you configured as POP3 or IMAP in your settings?

There are a few steps to try including:
  • Verify that a mail rule or message filter isn't duplicating the email
  • Verify that you did not create a mail forwarding w/ copy loop between two or more email accounts
  • Increase your mail server timeout settings
  • Increase your virus scanner timeout settings
  • Delete and recreate the account in your email program
