I have done a variety of IMAP mailbox migrations lately and Microsoft Outlook has been giving me some consistent grief.
Any time I move a large mailbox (1000-2000+ MB) Microsoft Outlook hangs and requires that the profile be deleted and recreated.
No server setting or other configuration changes were required for these mailbox moves.
Does anyone know of a way to make this more transparent for customers so that Microsoft Outlook can handle a behind the scenes email migration better?
Other mail programs such as Mozilla Thunderbird don't seem to have a problem with a large IMAP mailbox moves to a new server.
