got a new phone last Friday ... *finally* switched to a PDA type for my personal phone, and began using address books, etc.

I setup up my personal mail (POP3 + authenticated SMTP). I fear that if I use Verizon's smtp server instead of one of my own, they will charge me for outgoing emails as if they were text messages. Does anyone know if there is any validity to my suspicion? I will start another new thread with the setup instructions for my major cell providers.
