How to increase mail server timeout settings in Mozilla Thunderbird

    To edit your mail server timeout settings in Mozilla Thunderbird:

    • Click Tools and select Options

    • Click the Advanced menu and then click the Config Editor button

    • Click the confirmation button for "I'll be careful, I promise"

    • Type timeout in the search bar, double click on the mailnews.timeout line

    • Change the 100 to 1000 and then click OK to save the change
    • Restart Mozilla Thunderbird
