    Hello,

    According to Microsoft:

Windows Live Hotmail keeps messages stored a free account if the remains account active. Windows Live Hotmail accounts are put into an inactive state if they are not accessed at least one time every 120 days. Accounts with active subscriptions, such as Windows Live Hotmail Plus, are exempted from the account expiration policy.

how long does Hotmail store emails for before they are removed. I am looking for emails from the period between 2003 and 2008. The emails are not stored in my sent folder as of now.

Will appreciate advice on this matter.

    Thanks - Alok Maheshwari

    Hello,

If the old messages were removed by Hotmail there is not going to be a way to recover them.

This is one of the downsides of using a free email service provider.
