Has my Hotmail e-mail being hacked?

Hope somebody can help. Suddenly (over the last few days) most people in my address book have been receiving e-mails from me that I know I have not sent. I need your kind help as I don't know what to do about it. Thanks.

It is possible your account was compromised most likely through phishing. Change your Hotmail password and you should be okay. Also be sure to scan your computer for viruses and malware using your antivirus program (make sure it's up to date) or use something like the free MS Security Essentials for antivirus.

Thanks Dan. It is so annoying when this happens (again this morning about everybody in my address book received another blank e-mail from my account). I hope to change password as soon as possible and check for virus's. Will let you know how i get on. Your post is much appreciated.
