I have a Live Hotmail account.I sent myself a test message to my pop3
email account. On the message where it says from it has my full name
just like on profile of mt hotmail account.I want to change the from
field to something else, NOT my regular name.I have been all over the
web to try to change.I was not aware of this when i signed uo for hotmail , thinking that i would have a user name like most
    e-mail clients.
    Sigh......
Please advise on how to change:)

    Hello,

The last name became required I believe around the same time that the new MSN Hotmail was released. If you do not want your full last name displayed you can enter your last initial with a dot.
