What do you do when someone forwards you an email that you know is a hoax?

About half the time I'll send a short educational reply letting the sender know that it's whatever they forwarded is not true.

The other half of the time I delete the email and move on.

Obviously I don't forward them on to my contact lists.

I also don't reply-to-all since I'd hope at least most of the original receipients also understand it's likely an email hoax being forwarded around.

    What do you usually do?

Same here. Half the time I just delete and move on. The other half I make a quick trip to Snopes to check things out and, if it turns out the be partly or entirely untrue I reply with a link to the Snopes article, hoping the person learns to check on it himself/herself next time !

Unless it's a gullible family member I just delete it and move on.
