Create more Gmail email addresses by inserting dots into your username

    Here is a quick tip for creating addresses to help you filter your incoming email.

    Gmail allows you to insert dots anywhere within the username portion of you email address!

    For example, if you are joe@gmail.com you can also receive email at j.oe@gmail.com, jo.e@gmail.com, and j.o.e@gmail.com

    I thought this was strange behavior since most email providers treat the above as different email addresses, but it's good to know in case you want to give out an email address that you can receive but might want to create a special filter for later.
