Are you a webmaster? Do you click the links in Google Alerts?
I'll usually check the link if it appears to be from another forum or site where I can identify that it seems to likely be a safe click.
If the link is from one of the URL shortening services I usually won't click the link since there is the chance it's from a spammer/hack page.
