I prefer Gmail free accounts but the newer Yahoo mail is growing on me.

For some reason I just can't wrap my head around liking Microsoft Hotmail.

For desktop clients I push Thunderbird on people but still use Outlook Express more often.

Ah, I don't think Thunderbird or Outlook express are email providers. ;)

If you haven't already guessed I'm a Gmail man, it's really easy to use, has great features and a top notch spam filter.

As for OE vs TB: OE now Windows Mail is the default on Windows systems people just set it and forget it often not even realizing there's better programs out there.

I'm sort of partial to a small service run by an old friend of mine ... been using it for years, plus the price is still right.
