Hello

I am getting this error message 503 5.7.0 encryption too weak 0 less than 39 when i tried sending email to my school friends using authsmtp.psu.edu alongside username and password. What can i do for it to send successful?

Hi Prussic,

It sounds like the sending server requires SSL but you don't have SSL checked in your settings.

Also double check that you are using the correct port, most likely 465 or 587, not 25.

According to the PSU Help Desk the problem occurred with recent Windows update. They said they are working on the issue. In the meantime you can use Webmail as a workaround.
