Hello,

Although the original and latest official version of qmail has been around for many years now, it still works great and most administrators can get away with adding a small amount of patches. If you would like to try qmail out I'd recommend starting with the netqmail distribution. It has current installation instructions and includes some patches that are helpful on modern day internet facing e-mail servers. Additional documentation can be found by visiting Life with qmail.
