554 mail server permanently rejected message (#5.3.0)

Have you received this smtp error message?

This is a permanent error stating that the remote mail server did not accept your e-mail and that your mail server should not try to send it again.

It's difficult to be sure why without a more specific error message, but some possible causes may be that you mail server is on a blacklist or that the individual e-mail was spammy and scored poorly against a SpamAssassin content check.
