Default Compacting Messages

Hello,

Have you been asked by Outlook Express if you would like to compact your messages and not known what to do? When asked you should answer yes and let it run the procedure in the background. The reason is that when you delete an e-mail in outlook express and empty your deleted items folder the message is hidden from view but the space is still being used on your hard drive. When outlook express compacts messages it frees up that that disk space and takes the time to really delete all of the previously deleted e-mails. You may also notice a slight performance increase when process has finished.

Warning: The process may take some time. Always let the process finish uninterrupted.
