Microsoft Outlook Error 0x80042109 is a generic error for not being able to connect to your SMTP server. There are several thigns to check including any anti-virus software that may be scaning your outgoing emails, your companies Exchange server, the connection between your computer and the outgoing email server, etc. It is a vague error for a general condition and if you are not able to resolve it yourself your local technical support should be able to help you troubleshoot the problem further.
