Hi,
My problem! Whilst opening my msn Hotmail account on my mobile (currently Sony Xperia T although same problem previous HTC) i am able to open may b 2/3 emails before I get locked out with the message: "connection error", "can not to connect to server". From which I can not open any further emails, or even download any new emails.

Have been on the phone to my service provider whom has confirmed my settings with Sony, after which this still has not solved the problem. They then came to the conclusion faulty phone, so new phone and same problem!

Weird......decide to try and log my partners account in on my phone, same issue. However log my account in on his phone and no problem at all :s

I am out of ideas now and not enjoying the phone I was looking so forward to getting.

Any help a would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Are you using wifi? It sounds like a timing out issue resulting from a bad connection. Do you have a phone case on your phone that your partner does not have that could be interfering with the connection somehow? If so, try taking it off and see what happens when you log into your email.

Hi Theresa, no, no case. I have tried linked to WiFi and through my phones inyetnet, with the same outcome, I can also browse the web, just whilst trying to read and refresh my mail!

Thanks for your reply, and cute pic x

Hello,

What phone do you have? iPhone? Driod? Something else?

Are you using the build in mail app, web browser, or a 3rd party app to read the email?

BTW, did you use the same program on both phones?

Hey,

I am using my Sony Xperia T, my partner is on the HTC one X+ ( both android). Both used the mail app that came with the phones as standard. Also same problem wether on my networks 3g internet or at home via WiFi........ Baffling :s

Can you go into your email and see if there are any time out settings. If there are, your phone may be set to a shorter time than your partners. Go through all the mail app settings on both phones and compare everything and see if you can find a difference somewhere. This is all very strange.
