emails dissappeared. how can i get them back

Logged into 3 of my older accounts, all my emails have disappeared from one (the most recently used of the 3). I didn't delete them myself, they're not in my deleted folder. Is there any way to get them back. Looking for old copies of Facebook msgs for legal reasons. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
