Improving email reputation

I work for a small agency and it has come to our attention that emails we have sent out of Outlook to our clients are being flagged as spam by Postini.

Does anyone know why this could be happening and/or have any recommendations as to how to improve our email reputation again to avoid this problem?

Try simplifying your email message. Be specific and send them to the related contacts. Contacts that may have an interest in your products or services.

Would it be possible for you to add a free email account to your list (Yahoo/Hotmail/Gmail/etc) and then post the full email message, and email headers, once the message has arrived there? Reputation related you'll want to make sure that your sending IP address(es) are not blacklisted, that they consistently send a measurable amount of quality email, and that your recipients take positive action on your emails such as clicking links and not simply deleting or marking as spam. You also might want to consider using a free email newsletter service such as MailChimp. A lot of the possible problems I started to get at above will go away if you separate your email newsletters from your regular email traffic.

Spam rules are established and followed instantly by a device and you're simply among thousands of emails per second they process.

Maybe you are sending to individuals who do not review e-mails that they don't acknowledge. They are most likely to erase emails that they don't recognize. You are getting obstructed due to the fact that there are individuals who do not just erase your e-mails but they also pushed the "this is spam" button in their mail system. In my opinion is going to be difficult to provide email to all of them however you can optimize your distribution rate by following those few straightforward guidelines:.

1. Make sure your e-mail checks out well and it does not sound spammy.
2. Make sure your subject and e-mail does not consist of any type of LETTERS in all caps.
3. Avoid using spam words like free of charge, economical, finest and so on, they bring in excessive attention from spam filters.
4. Slowly send your email. Basically bursts or simply throttle it in time so that you don't end up in all the spam filters all over the Web.
