It's new to me,so i checked their web site.
  • The message box is encrypted.
  • E mail tracking (freebie version also) which i like.
  • I don't see anything else that is encrypted,such as meta data,address book/contacts.

As far as i know metadata cannot be encrypted (please correct me if i'm wrong) because it is needed by the receiving server to understand where it has to put the message in. Also services who are saying they don't have metadata are not completely honest. Metadata is needed to run a descent mailserver.

One tip, stop using the subject line. It is one of the metadata where they can get lots of info from. Most people put in text which is associated with the message body.

Please take a look at SCRYPTmail.com. AFAIK they're the farthest ahead with fully encrypting metadata.

Specific questions about the programming can be asked in their forum - SCRYPTmail

Sergei is busy with the new release, so any questions I can't help with might take a little longer than normal right now.

Is it safe as ProtonMail and Tutanota?

I'm not sure offhand. It sounds like it might be sending notifications instead of email, forcing recipients to view messages on the SF web servers.

I could be wrong, but can't confirm since I tried to register but did not get the login info yet to my alternate email address that was provided during registration.

I really would like to discuss this with him. AFAIK :))) it cannot be encrypted and send to an outside server. The server does not has the key to decrypt it to see where and to whom the message belongs. Maybe his service is a inside service. So that you can only mail to people who has an account on SCRYPTmail.

Besides that, he did a great job with his service. Respect!

SCRYPTmail definitely works sending and receiving email with other services such as Gmail.

I think it has something to do with breaking up and encrypting all the info and some pointers for the system to put it all back together as needed while a user is logged in, but I'm not the best person to explain it.

Yeah i guess so, which is weird imho. The other party needs to know for who the mail is (recipient) and from who it is (sender) and to put it into the right order (date). If they send it encrypted to the mailserver of the recipient the mailserver can't read it because it does not have the key to decrypt it and to read it.

But there are a lot of smart people out there and maybe he has found a solution for that and is he one of them :)

It has a bad reputation with the WOT extension and that makes me doubt
So I ask your opinion
Although I think that it is better not to use it

I personally don't use WOT since it is based on members opinions.

Not able to personally comment since i never used it,according to the web site...

"You can protect attachments and/or an email message body.
By default, the service protects only attachments.
Additional options are available for premium users".

Seems that more encryption is available via a paid version but they don't specify. But,i checked the "Product comparison" & don't see any mention of other types of encryption, such as metadata & address book/contacts.
