Hi compleo, just give them fantasy names for webmail :innocent:

About the Browser Vivaldi: Of course you can change the search engine. There is a search field on the top right corner of the browser, just press the magnifier icon on the left side and change the search engine.

When you want to change or disable the search enigne in adress bar, go to settings about the Vivaldi icon in the left corner of the browser or via the settings gear on the side panel.

-------------------

About Vivaldi Mail: When someone sign-up there, you can change the privacy settings for your profile on https://vivaldi.net/ Click on your username > edit icon > your username > privacy etc.

Vivaldi has only recently come out in an official Beta version and is still not ready for prime time. E.g. the Xmarks extension installs but cannot be used yet until they modify (or create?) something in Vivaldi's sync code to allow it to work! So my guess is there are a host of features (including managing preferred search engines) that will be changed by the time it is ready for official release.

So you're now talking about the Browser. The webmail Vivaldi Mail with new interface is well usable and looks good
But the Browser, yes it's in BETA, i'm so excited to use the final version :)

Something which is related to email and will be very interesting is the coming integrated email client M3 in Vivaldi browser.

I like Jon and his creations vivaldi.net and the vivaldi browser, and before that the Opera browser and community. Vivaldi is a much improved version of chrome.
However, if you do a whois on vivaldi.net, you find that it is hosted by cloudfare, an american company. The IP location is phoenix, arizona. Probably they were the victim of a ddos attack and one of the ways to fend it off is to hire a party with the infra for that, like cloudfare. So there's a pretty decent chance that your vivaldi.net email is hosted in the us of a.
