Issues sending emails to hotmail accounts

New Email
Hi,

I am currently having an issue when trying to send emails to Hotmail accounts from my domain.

We are not receiving any bounce backs when trying to email Hotmail accounts and everything looks like it sends fine, however the emails aren't going through.

We did get blacklisted a couple of months ago, which i believe was due to Reverse DNS. This has now been set up and we have been removed from all blacklists. Emails to Hotmail were blocked during our time being blacklisted and did begin to work again but have recently stopped again.

Just to make it clear we use our own Exchange server for emails.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is beginning to cause issues for our customers.

Thanks in advanced,
Karl

Hi,

The outgoing IP is 62.249.214.14, however the Sender score site says that it has not seen enough emails to generate a spam score?

Should i still attempt to contact microsoft?

Hi Karl,

the Sender score site says that it has not seen enough emails to generate a spam score?

I sent you a private message. Lets confirm the outgoing IP.

Should i still attempt to contact microsoft?

It's possible you have the right IP and it's not sending enough email but I'd like to confirm before proceeding.

I received the test email. Your outgoing email is relaying from the IP you expected through what appears to be a 3rd party service.

Received: from remote.Thaper.co.uk (remote.thaper.co.uk [62.249.214.142])
(using TLSv1 with cipher AES128-SHA (128/128 bits))
(No client certificate requested)
by smtp3.enta.net (Postfix) with ESMTPS id D25621967

Lookup for 195.74.113.201 - SenderScore.org

It's apparent they did have a problem about 3 weeks ago.

If you are relaying out through a 3rd party you won't be able to open a ticket with Microsoft.

Some of your options are to relay direct to the internet so you are in full control of your outgoing IP reputation, or contact that provider and request they troubleshoot the issue with Microsoft.

I've just sent you a message back :)
Thanks for the help, i didn't think about the smart host when they had the issue before and thought we needed to create an SPF record on the domain but then forgot to include the smart host IP in the SPF.

Again thanks for all the help and i'll let you know how i get on :)
