Hello,

The following are the directions for contacting the Hotmail customer service department:
  • Login to your hotmail account.
  • In the upper right corner click Help.
  • On the following page click Contact Us
  • In the drop down list select Contact MSN Hotmail
  • Complete the form on that page and be as specific as possible with your problem description.

I have a strange problem and need to contact hotmail, but cannot. They have done something in their infinite wisdom which has connected my email account to that of my wife. We did not link them so I wonder how they have done this. We have tried everything we can find to break the link all to no avail. The number I was given isn't answered. I can log into my account, I can access the account settings, permissions BUT it only shows one account - mine so why is my wife's account linked to mine and how do we break this e-link? Anyone have a UK contact number for Hotmail? If anyone at hotmail reads this here is a question for you: Why do you decide what we want - I don't want linking to skype, facebook, twonker, or anything else, but of course you know that really I don't mean that. WRONG I do mean it. I really really do not want linking to anything else and as I am the customer I am right. You see MS I really do know my own mind.

Thank you for saying things I have been saying all along. I HATE when emails and other sites try to connect everything to facebook log ins etc. It is really irritating. If I wanted to do that, I would. They stick it in your face every chance they get and it is really annoying to say the least.

On to your question, do you mean that your email and her email are being sent to the same email address? Were they separate email addresses before that were being sent to different accounts. Is your wife's an alias under yours or vice versa? Please explain specifically what is happening.

Hi Theresa, Yes we had separate email addresses which neither of us knew the others passwords, and no we did not use alias for each other.

Have part sorted the problem - she uses an ipad, me a laptop - I can't stand touch screams - err I mean screens. It seems that when we were on holiday earlier this year I used her ipad to read my emails with her full knowledge etc., and somehow the ipad decided that her account be linked to mine and that mine would be the superior account - must be a real MCP - Male Chauvanistic Pig for the unknowing, and it somehow managed to make her account vanish. Got that one sorted, but we want to know how to stop it happening again.

That is very strange. I have never heard of that happening before. My suggestion would be to use a different browser to log into your email. It shouldn't happen if you use mozilla and she uses internet explorer for example.

On 2 hotmail accts, one of which is 16 years old, I'm getting msgs about being hacked. I have 2 new devices and am NOT getting hacked. Alt addresses still valid, I've supplied code# and can't get in. Just now on my phone I had to "cancel" looking at a file. I feel like I landed in hell. This was the 16 year acct which has never had a problem and how do I get back to it? Please HELP!

I need to contact hotmail through email and cannot log into my hotmail account at all. I signed up years ago as a teen and don't have my cell listed for reset purposes. I can't remember my password and that leaves me with 2 options - have my reset code sent to my phone (which can't happen because it's not listed, and every single time I try and input my number and write the code in the box when it comes up it says I've miss-typed , which isn't correct as it's happened dozens of times at this point), or have my password emialed to me at another address, but I can't remember enough information for the automated system to recognize me as me.

So as I began with, I need to contact hotmail customer service through email, and not my hotmail email. What do I do?
