Hi Emily,

If you are using a web based service like Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo Mail then yes the mail will still be in your account.

If you have a desktop POP3 client that downloads mail from your account then your existing mail will likely only be avilable on your home computer.

Is your current computer a laptop?

What kind of e-mail account are you asking about?

If you let us know specifically who your e-mail provider is and how you access your e-mail we can give you a more exact answer.

Thank you,

-Raymond

Thanks so much Raymond, I have a laptop and a Hotmail Account, Home provider is Verizon, But I will be using other peoples computers while there, so I thought Hotmail would be the easiest way to go.

Hi Emily,

You should not have any trouble accessing your Hotmail account from Australia.

Any mails that you see in your inbox and folders now should be there no matter what computer you login from.

Have a nice vacation! :)

Raymond thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it, there is nothing worse than having problems with your main pulse of communication while travelling, your replies were extremely quick, I thank you again. Take Care and Be Safe.

Ok, I admit it this is off topic (sort of) but I will say it anyways.

A) I am jealous you are going to Australia because that is the one place I have always wanted to go.

B) Is there room to smuggle me in your suitcase? (I don't eat much) :D

Emily:

sounds like this has been pretty well covered, but my wife and I recently got home from our honeymoon in Italy and St. Lucia. We were able to pay an extra fee at every hotel to use their internet service and my laptop over a 3 week period. As long as the documents are stored online (in a web folder etc.), you can get to them from anywhere online. Great thin about the internet - its one big semi-happy place.

Great point! Make sure your hotel room has internet enabled!

Some hotels even have public computer labs or wireless points for you to use.

Also, make sure not to save your passwords on public computers.

One thing I try to do is change my passwords when I am going to be on untrusted computers and then change my passwords back when I get home.

Be very careful not to mistype or forget a changed password!

Thank You so much for this information, as delays are a biggie here, have had to have night layovers a few times travelling from the US in the winter. I will take that information with me, again I thank you.
